SMART's ECC UDIMMs (unbuffered DIMMs) are used in a wide variety of telecom, networking, computing and media applications which have one or two DIMM sockets per CPU. There is no need for registered DIMMs associated with heavier memory bus loading. ECC UDIMM modules have error correction code built in, which detects and corrects common kinds of internal data corruption.
